Book Author Visits

Maximum of 6 total sessions per day

  • 30-60-minute sessions, depending upon by grade levels.

  • A read-aloud.

  • Sessions feature writing mini-lessons or a slide presentation.

  • Kayla asks that sessions be held in one location for the day.

  • When setting up a visit, check with Kayla on which grade level(s) to combine.

  • Virtual Visits:

  • 30-45-minutes sessions

    A read-aloud or writing lesson or slide presentation (varies by grade levels & target books), plus a Q&A.

    Group size may be as large or small as you want.

  • Books signed before visit, In-between sessions or after visits and then can give to teachers to distribute out.

  • The Author’s Playbook: Do’s and Don'ts A practical guide breaking down character development traps to avoid, handling critique, and building professional writing habits.

  • Educator vs. Author A dynamic guest speaker session exploring how professional backgrounds shape storytelling and how to balance multiple creative identities.

Adult Education (Workshop Series):
